The gomoa district is bounded on the north by the Agona district, on the north-east and east by Awutu-Efutu-Senya district, on the west and north-west by Mfantsiman and Ajumako-Enyan_Essian districts respectively, and on the south by the Atlantic Ocean.

Rainfall Pattern
Two rainfall patterns-major and minor rainy seasons.
- Major rainy season: april – july
- Minor rainy season: September-november

- Minor dry season: august

The temperature distribution o29oC and 26oC on average occur annually from February to march and august respectively.

- The relative humidity is influenced by the presence of large water bodies like the ocean, rivers, lagoons and streams

Vegetation
- Two main vegetational zones:
- The coastal savannah and the moist semi-decidous forest occupy the northern secter.
- Pockets of semblance of tropical rain forest exist at the extreme north north and north-eastern part around aboso near agona swedru.
- The moist semi-decidous forest is characterized by tall trees inter-spaced with grass cover, shrubs and soft wood species
